| Batu Kawan Berhad owns 61% of shares See Sen Chemical Berhad. Since its Incorporation in 1965, See Sen Chemical Berhad has been a leading supplier of sulphuric acid and sulphur-derived products in Malaysia. From its first plant in Larkin, Johor producing only 6,000 metric tonnes of sulphuric acid yearly, See Sen Chemical Berhad is now the largest manufacturer of sulphuric acid in the country with an annual capacity of 28,000 metric tonnes.
Presently, the Company’s operations are based at three manufacturing facilities located in Kemaman, Terengganu; Pasir Gudang, Johor and Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan.

PRODUCTS AND APPLICATIONS |

 Sulphuric acid |
| Used in the latex industry to coagulate rubber in the effluent. Also acts as a neutralising agent in the palm oil industry, pickling agent in the wire mesh and galvanising industry, etching agent in the electronic industry, base chemicals in the chemical industry and regenerating agent in water treatment plant. Also used in ore extraction. |
| Oleum |
| For the production of electronic
grade sulphuric acid. |
| Aluminium sulphate |
| As a filler in the chipboard industry, flocculating agent in water and waste water treatment application. |
| Sodium silicate |
| Coating for specialty noodles, processing chemicals in the manufacture of tiles, fixing of colours on cloth, ingredients in detergent, aids in de-inking of recycle paper. |
| Molten Sulphur |
| Liquid raw material for the tyre industry. |
| Sulphur Powder |
| Used in the rubber and tyre industry, used in fireworks and as insecticide. |
